3 Reasons To Get Renters Insurance

Do you rent the home you live in?

If you do… a flood, a fire, or theft could damage your financial life more than your home.

When I bought my house I was required by my lender to get homeowner’s insurance.

For renters it’s not required, which is probably why 80% of renters do not have any coverage. Don’t be a part of that 80%. Protect yourself and your personal property by getting renters insurance this week.

There are three major reasons I recommend getting renters insurance.

#1: It’s affordable.

Typical policies can range from only $200 to $300 a year, depending on where you live.

#2: The protection it provides.

Most policies will cover the contents of your home and car from theft, fire or water damage from broken pipes. You are even covered for damage to your unit that the landlord might hold you accountable for.

#3: Peace of mind.

Knowing you are covered from the unexpected is priceless. You see, some policies will even protect you in the event someone slips and falls in your home and tries to sue you.
