5 Back to School Tips From Moms

Back to school shopping can be tough on your cash flow, especially if you have more than one child to buy for.

So to help you save money this school year, I turned to one of the best sources I know of… Moms.

Today we are featuring 5 money-saving back to school tips from Moms in Hawaii and on the mainland.

Celia Espinosa of Mililani says… Make sure you have the school supply list from your school, instead of guessing and buying stuff you don’t need. This will save you time, money and stress.

Jayna Smith from Pearl City says… Look around the house for supplies first, before looking for sales in stores.

Kaui Benson from Laie recommends shopping at places like Longs and Wal-mart before school starts, because prices are better, inventory is high and you get it done early and don’t have to stress.

Darlani Wright of Kahului Maui says… Shop the discount racks right now because some stores have 50% off on clothing.

Jeana Federick from the mainland tells us… Don’t buy those cute binder pencil holders. Instead, a heavy duty Ziploc bag, hole-punched, works great. She also recommends using book covers to save on damaged book fees.
