6 Frugal Ways To Lose Weight

Did you set a goal to lose weight for the new year? Well more than half of Americans are on the same page with you.

Here are 6 simple and easy frugal alternatives to hitting the gym.

1. Hit the road Jack.

Instead of buying one of those high priced treadmills or fancy elliptical machines, go outside and walk or jog. It’s free and you can get tons of fresh air.

2. Start each day with a glass of warm water.

It will get your metabolism going, as a replacement for coffee.

3. Dust off those old workout DVDs you purchased in the past.

Most homes have a set of P90X, or my favorite… Hip-Hop Abs on the shelf. If you don’t have one, I’m sure you can borrow a set from a friend or family member.

4. Take the stairs instead of using the escalator or elevator.

By the end of the month, you will have climbed hundreds of stairs, which is sure to burn off the calories.

5. Choose the right parking stall.

Here’s what I mean…park in the furthest stall away from your office or at the shopping center, and walk.

6. Now this is one of my favorite…get more sleep.

Studies show that sleeping more burns calories. And as a bonus you cut out “midnight snack” time.
