7 Back To School Shopping Tips

Can you believe that summer break is almost over, and the kids will be back in school in about a month?

This means we have a lot of back to school shopping to do.
To help you save a chunk of your hard-earned cash, here are my top 7 Back to School Shopping Tips:

#1: Make a list of everything you need and stick to it.

Avoid the fancy erasers, quadruple color pens and other things that are not required.

#2: Start your shopping at home.

Yes, you heard that right. Look for leftover supplies from last school year. Those crayons might be used, but they will still work when school starts.

#3: Swap with other children.

You can get supplies and clothes for free, when you swap with friends and family members who have kids that are close in age to yours.

#4: Hit up the summer garage sales.

These are great places to find valuable school supplies on the cheap.

#5: Comparison shop online.

There are a ton of great sites that will help you locate the best deals.

#6: Wait for the after school sales.

Do you really need to buy 10 rolls of paper towels for the first day? Or can you start with a couple and get the rest later?

#7: Don’t forget to use coupons.

Clipping and saving coupons all year does no good unless you use them when the time is right. So gather all your coupons before you head out to the stores.
