How To Build Your Child’s Stock Portfolio

If you’re a parent looking for a fun and simple way to teach you kids about building wealth… One of the best ways to do this is to get them involved in the investment process.

Start by finding out what products they like. If they are into sports, look into buying shares of Nike.

Do they have an iPhone? Then have them research Apple stock.

Did they like the movie Iron Man 3? If so, Marvel Entertainment is a publicly traded company.

And Disney is always a favorite for children.

There are a couple of innovative companies that make it easy for us to start investing.

I use a company called ShareBuilder.com. This company allows you to buy partial shares of some of your favorite publicly traded companies.

There is also OneShare.com. This company will frame and ship a stock certificate to your home.

If you want to save money you can always print your own certificate to give to your kids as a keepsake. They will take pride in ownership of their favorite companies, and start learning how to build wealth.
