How to Increase Your Credit Score

How to Increase Your Credit ScoreEveryone wants a good credit score, right? It makes life a lot easier, and enables you to get lower interest rates with credit cards and loans.

Now when I say increase your credit score, I am referring to your “FICO” score, which will range from 300 to 850, the higher the better. Your target should be 720. If you can get to 750 you will be considered “golden” in the eyes of most lenders.

To find out where you stand with your credit score, I suggest visiting either of these two websites…

CreditKarma.com or CreditSesame.com.

Both offer truly free credit scores.

CreditKarma accesses your credit score from TransUnion, and CreditSesame uses Experian’s National Equivalency Score.

To increase your credit score, remember to always pay your bills on time, pay down your credit cards and other debt as fast as you can, and fix any errors you find on your credit report.

Then be sure to check your credit report once a year.
