Preparing Your Finances For Summer

If you have kids, you know summer break is right around the corner. Before the summer madness hits, I have 5 tips to help you get your financial life organized and prepared.

1. Set up as many of your bills to get paid on auto-pay as possible. This will ensure you’re never late or miss a payment… even if you go on a vacation and travel.

2. Change all passwords to your banks and online financial accounts.

3. Update your Will and Trust accounts if you have them. If you don’t have one set up yet, now is a great time to get one.

4. Switch to managing all of your bank statements, taxes, insurance and bills electronically.

5. Store all of your important financial documents in a secure offsite facility in the cloud, or on a flash drive that you keep in your safe or safety deposit box.
