Saving For Children’s College (Made Easy)

As the cost of a college education skyrockets, planning and saving are even more important today, than ever before.

The key to saving for college is making it simple and easy to do. I found a program called Upromise, an online college savings plan sponsored by Sally Mae.

All you need to do is sign up for a free Upromise account. Then you can start earning cash back by shopping with Upromise partners.

They have over 10,000 retail partners…some of which you might be familiar with…like Sports Authority, Old Navy, Sears, Home Depot and more. There are even local restaurants like L&L’s and the Cattle Company that give cash back.

You can also register your credit, debit and grocery cards to your Upromise account and earn cash back on eligible dining, gas and grocery purchases.

You can then transfer your earnings to an eligible Sally Mae student loan, savings account, 529 college savings plan or you can even request a check.
