Slow Down and Save Money

Slow Down and Save MoneyDo you think paying $3.99 for a gallon of regular gas is ridiculous? Of course you do! We all do.

But how would you feel if you paid $4.77 for a gallon of regular unleaded today? Furious right?

Well according to the website FuelEconomy.gov, you can assume that each 5 miles per hour you drive over 60 miles per hour is like paying an additional 28 cents per gallon of gas.

So if you are driving 70 miles per hour, not only is that dangerous for safety reasons, but it would be like you’re paying $4.77 per gallon.

I know you’ve probably heard this phrase a million times before: “Observe the Speed Limit.” We might ignore that phrase, but I hope after today’s tip, it makes much more dollars and “cents” to do so.
